Online banking is simple – when you know how. Get up to speed on the basics in minutes.

Set up online access to your account.
 

  • If you don’t have or don’t know your password, call 1-877-765-2265
  • Click “Sign in” you'll find this in the right hand corner of manulifebank.ca
  • Enter your access number (the last 9 digits on your Manulife Bank access card)
  • Enter your password
  • Click “Sign in”

Start using online banking to transfer funds, pay bills and more.
 

  • Click “Change Password” under “My Profile” in the left menu
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password (it must be 6 to 12 characters and contain both numbers and letters)
  • Enter your new password again
  • Click “Submit Change”

Send and receive money instantly in an email or text message.
 

  • Click “Account Balances” in the left menu
  • See your account balances and total balance in the right column
  • To see recent transactions, click “Transactions” next to an account balance
  • To see account details, including funds on hold, and the current interest rate, click the account number

Organize debt to track repayment and keep investment loan interest tax-deductible.
 

  • Click “View Statements” in the left menu
  • Select the account
  • Click the Statement date to view your statement
  • Save or print the statement if you choose

Link your accounts to another financial institution.
 

  • Click “Link an External Account” under “Transfer Funds” in the left menu
  • Complete all fields
  • Attach an image of a void cheque or pre-authorized debit form
  • Click “Next”
  • Review agreement and click "Agree"
  • Your account information has been successfully submitted.

Move your money today or on a specific date in the future.
 

  • Click “Transfer Funds” in the left menu
  • Select the account you would like to transfer funds from
  • Select the account you would like to transfer funds to
  • Enter the dollar amount you want to transfer
  • Select the date you want the transfer to take place
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Cancel” to stop the transfer, “Previous” to change the details, or “Finish” if all the details are correct

Regularly move the same amount from one account to another.
 

  • Click “Recurring Fund Transfers” in the left menu
  • Select the account you would like to transfer funds from
  • Select the account you would like to transfer funds to
  • Enter the dollar amount you want to transfer
  • Select the start date and end date
  • Select the frequency
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Cancel” to stop the transfer, “Previous” to change the details, or “Finish” if all the details are correct
  • To see, change or cancel a recurring transfer, click “View Future Transactions” in the left menu

Set up payees so you can start making bill payments.
 

  • Click “Add a Payee” in the left menu
  • Enter the company name as it appears on your bill
  • Click “Find company name”
  • Select the correct company name from the dropdown menu
  • Enter your account number as it appears on your bill
  • Click “Add this payee”
  • Click “Cancel” to change the details or “OK” if all the details are correct

Pay a bill today or on a specific date in the future.

  • Click “Pay Bills” in the left menu
  • Select the account you would like to pay the bill from
  • Select the payee
  • Enter the dollar amount you want to pay
  • Select the date you want the bill paid (we recommend choosing dates that are at least two days before the payment due date)
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Previous” to change the details or “Finish” if all the details are correct

Regularly pay the same amount to a payee.

  • Click “Recurring Bill Payments” in the left menu
  • Select the payee
  • Enter the dollar amount you want to pay
  • Select the account you would like to pay the bill from
  • Select the frequency
  • Select the start date and end date (we recommend choosing dates that are at least two days before the payment due date)
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Previous” to change the details or “Finish” if all the details are correct
  • To see, change, or cancel a recurring bill payment, click “View Future Transactions” in the left menu

Order standard or custom cheques online.
 

  • Click “Order Cheques” in the left menu
  • Choose “Standard order now” or “Custom order now” (custom orders go to a different website)
  • Select the account you would like cheques for
  • Check the box next to the joint account owner’s name (if applicable) to include that name on the cheques too
  • Confirm your address is correct (this address will appear on your cheques)
  • Check the box next to your telephone number to include that number on the cheques too
  • Select the number of cheques you want
  • Enter a different start number if you choose
  • To approve the cost and place your order, click “Submit Order”

Sign up to start making Interac e-Transfers.
 

  • Click “Get Started” under “Interac e-Transfer” in the left menu
  • Complete all fields
  • Click “Register”

Create a profile for the person you want to send money to.

  • Click “Manage My Recipients” under “Interac e-Transfer” in the left menu
  • Click “Add Recipient”
  • Complete all fields
  • Click “Finish”

Send money instantly in an email or text message.
 

  • Select “Send Money” under “Interac e-Transfer” in the left menu
  • Confirm your contact information is correct (to update it, click “Manage My Profile” in the left menu)
  • Confirm the recipient’s contact information is correct (to update it, click “Manage My Recipients” in the left menu)
  • Select the account you would like to send money from
  • Enter the dollar amount
  • Create a security question and answer only the recipient knows; do not include the answer in the optional “Message to recipient”
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Cancel” to stop the Interac e-Transfer, “Previous” to change the details, or “Finish” if all the details are correct

Deposit money into your Manulife Bank account.
 

  • When you receive an email or text message notification and are confident the Interac e-Transfer is legitimate, click the link to open the Interac web page
  • Select “Manulife Bank” to deposit the money into your Manulife Bank account
  • Log in to Manulife Bank online banking
  • If you haven’t registered to make Interac e-Transfers, click “Get Started” under “Interac e-Transfer” in the left menu, complete all fields and click “Register”
  • Enter the answer to the security question (if you don’t know it, ask the sender by phone or in person)
  • Select the account you would like to deposit to
  • Click “Accept e-Transfer”
  • Click “Cancel” to stop the Interac e-transfer, “Previous” to change the details, or “Finish” if all the details are correct

Track part of your debt separately at the same low variable interest rate as your main account.
 

  • Select “Open Sub-accounts” in the left menu
  • Read the description of sub-account types
  • Click “Continue”
  • Select the Manulife One account you want to create a sub-account from
  • Click “Continue”
  • Enter a sub-account nickname if you choose
  • Check your available amount of debt and then enter the amount of debt you want to allocate to this sub-account
  • Choose the type of sub-account
  • Click “Calculate” to see the estimated monthly interest-only payments Manulife Bank will withdraw from your main Manulife One account
  • Click “Continue”
  • Click “Previous” to change the details, or “Submit” if all the details are correct

You can close your tracking sub-account at any time.
 

  • Term sub-accounts close automatically when the balance is paid off
  • To close a term sub-account before the balance is paid off, call 1-877-765-2265
  • Note that a penalty may apply
