Official Contest Rules and Regulations

By entering “The Chance to Win One of Ten $50 Amazon Gift Cards” (the “Contest”), entrants agree to abide by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations and the decisions of Manulife Bank (the “Sponsor”), located at 500 King Street North, Waterloo, Ontario N2J 4C6 Canada.

1. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest runs from September 10, 2021 to September 24, 2021 (the “Contest Period”).

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Amazon.com Inc. (“Amazon”). You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Amazon. The information you provide will only be used for the administration of this Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy (see below). Amazon is completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Sponsor and not Amazon.

2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

To enter the Draw, Entrants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Click on the link to the Banking Experience Survey from the Manulife Bank mobile app. Complete the electronic questionnaire in full.
2. Declare that you have read and agreed to the Contest Rules and Regulations by checking the corresponding box. Indicate that you would like to participate in the draw to win one of ten $50 Amazon Gift Cards. Please also enter your contact information. Declare that you have read and agreed to the Contest Rules and Regulations by checking the corresponding box. Indicate that you would like to participate in the draw to win one of ten $50 Amazon Gift Cards. Please also enter your contact information. Then click “Submit".

Upon completing the above steps, your submission will automatically earn you one (1) entry into the Contest.

By entering the Contests, Entrants agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor, whose decisions shall be final and binding.

ENTRY LIMIT: Limit of one (1) survey entry per person allowed during the Contest Period. Only one (1) unique Account may be used by any one (1) person to participate in the Contest. Should duplicate entries be received, all such entries will be ineligible.

Entries that do not comply with these Rules will, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, be disqualified. To be valid, each entry must provide the information requested. All entries become the property of Manulife Bank.

3. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding those who reside in the province of Quebec) who have reached the legal age of majority in the province or territory where they reside (the “Entrant”) by the end of the Contest Period.

Employees, representatives, or agents of the Sponsor, or their affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers and distributors, advertising affiliates, promotion agencies, suppliers of the prize, and any persons who are members of those employees’ immediate families, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Potential winners may be required to furnish proof of identification in the form of government issued identification.

4. PRIZES/ODDS

There are ten (10) prizes available to be won in Canada. The winner will receive a unique code that will give them access to a $50 Amazon Gift Card (the “Prize”). The ten (10) randomly selected entrants will qualify to win a prize, provided they comply with these rules. The Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize will be sent by the Sponsor to the confirmed winners via email as indicated on his/her completed Declaration and Release Form within five (5) days of receipt.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-assignable, non-transferable, and have no cash surrender value. No substitution or exchange is allowed, except that the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should the prize become unavailable for any reason.

5. CONTEST DRAW

On Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at approximately 12 p.m. ET, Manulife Bank will select the winner by random draw from all eligible entries received, and such Entrant will be eligible to win the prize.

The Sponsor will notify the selected Entrant by email within 24 hours of the draw on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 (using the information provided on the electronic questionnaire). If the selected Entrant cannot be contacted by email within seven (7) days of the draw, or the selected Entrant does not comply with these Rules, the selected Entrant will be deemed ineligible and the Prize will be forfeited and another selected entrant will be drawn from the same pool of entrants.

Each selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question. The selected entrants will be contacted by email by a representative of the Sponsor to make arrangements for administering the skill-testing question. Arrangements will be made for the awarding of the Prize at the time the skill-testing question is administered and correctly answered.

The Prize will only be awarded to the selected Entrant after verification of eligibility from the return of a completed Declaration and Release Form within 14 business days of being selected, and correctly answering a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor, without mechanical or other aid.

6. PRIVACY POLICY

By entering the Contest and voluntarily providing your name and contact information required by the entry form, Entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure by the Sponsor of the Entrant’s information to administer this Contest and for purposes outlined in the Sponsor’s privacy policies.

7. CONSTRUCTION

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

The Contest and these Rules shall be governed by and construed under Ontario law, without regard to conflict of laws principles. All Entrants expressly agree that any claims relating to this contest must be resolved in the Province of Ontario, and hereby waive the jurisdiction of any other court that now or in the future could be considered competent for any reason.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating, each Entrant agrees that the Sponsor, their affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers and distributors, advertising affiliates and promotion agencies, officers, directors, employees and shareholders (“Sponsor Entities”) are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failures, omissions or for anything, including but not limited to, the errors in advertising, these Rules, the selection and announcement of winners or distribution of any prizes, resulting from the participation in this Contest.

By accepting a prize, the winner releases the Sponsor and the Sponsor Entities from any and all liability and responsibility with respect to the prize (including, without limitation, any property loss, damage, personal injury, death, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, whether intentional or unintentional) arising out of or in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of a prize.

9. TERMINATION/AMENDMENT

Subject to applicable law, the Sponsor reserves the right to amend, cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest (in whole or in part) if for any reason the Contest cannot be run as planned, including but not limited to: an error, technical problem, computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules, or the odds of winning, without providing any prior notice.

10. MISCELLANEOUS

In the event that it is discovered that an Entrant has entered more than once per day during the Contest Period using different and/or the Account/email address, he/she will be disqualified and respective eligible prize claim will become null and void and the Entrant will not be entitled to claim any prize. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an Entrant, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the Account submitted at the time of entry (i.e. the person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail address, that is linked to the Account). Should it be discovered that an Entrant is using the aid of computer programs to complete entries, that Entrant will be disqualified from the Contest; and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify all such entrants from future contests conducted by Sponsor without further notice. The selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder associated with the selected on-line entry.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor. No communication will take place with Entrants, except the Entrant(s) selected as the potential winners.

Any attempt by an entrant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Participation engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, logos, slogans and representations are owned or used under licence by the Sponsors and/or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
