Activate your card as soon as it arrives to unlock:
- More ways to earn rewards in a broader range of categories
- A refreshed digital experience with new self-serve features

Important:
- As of February 25, 2026, or such later date that we may notify you in writing, your existing card will stop working. To avoid interruption, please activate your new card as soon as it arrives and update your Manulife Bank Visa account number in your bill payment profile and with any merchants where you have pre-authorized payments.
- Once the primary cardholder has activated, additional cardholders will need to activate their new cards, as their current cards will stop working
- Your payment due date and statement date will change with your new card.
Once you’ve activated your new card:
- Any outstanding balance, recent transactions, payments and rewards earned on your account will be moved to your new card. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours for your updated balance, recent transactions payments and rewards to appear
- Any rewards that were not yet redeemed on your previous card will be automatically transferred to your new card and will be displayed as points going forward

When will the Manulife Bank credit card changes take effect?
The changes will take effect upon activation of your new replacement card.
Will I be getting a new Manulife Bank credit card in the mail?
Yes. Please keep an eye on your mailbox for your replacement Manulife Bank credit card. Your replacement credit card will have a different card number and expiry date.
What steps do I need to take once I receive my new Manulife Bank credit card in the mail?
When you receive your replacement card you should:
- Activate your card. www.manulifebank.ca/cc/activate
- Update your pre-authorized payments with your new card information.
- If you haven’t already done so, download the Manulife Bank app so you can manage your account digitally.
- Update your mobile wallet with your new card information for secure payments on the go. If you don’t have your mobile wallet set-up yet, visit manulifebank.ca/mobilewallet to learn how.
Your old card will stop working as soon as your new replacement card is activated.
How do I activate my new credit card?
When you receive your new credit card, you can activate your card digitally – it’s quick and easy! You’ll need the following information to get started:
- The Primary cardholder should activate their card first. Once the Primary cardholder has activated, any additional cardholders will need to activate their new cards, as their former cards will stop working.
- The 16-digits of your new credit card
- Your Manulife ID login details. Don’t worry, if you don’t have a Manulife ID, Don’t worry, if you don’t have a Manulife ID you’ll set one up during the activation process. Or, you can Learn how to set one up.
- Your mobile phone (to verify your identity)
Why is Manulife Bank re-issuing new credit cards?
We are introducing several enhancements to our credit cards. We are expanding the categories for you to earn accelerated rewards and adding a host of digital self-serve features to make managing your account easier.
What if I don't activate my new Manulife Bank credit card?
If you do not activate your replacement card, your existing balance will be automatically transferred to the replacement card account on February 25, 2026, or such later date that we may notify you in writing, and the annual interest rate for purchases, fees and other charges will increase from 20.99% to 21.99%.
You will no longer be able to make purchases on your existing card after February 25, 2026.

What do I do with my old Manulife Bank credit card once I activate my new credit card?
Please destroy your old card upon activation of your new replacement credit card.
What if I have pre-authorized payments set-up to come from my current Manulife Bank credit card?
As soon as you activate your new Manulife Bank credit card, it is important that you notify the merchants of your new card number and expiry date. This helps ensure your pre-authorized payments continue to go through uninterrupted.
How do I make sure my payments to my Manulife Bank credit card aren’t interrupted?
You will need to ensure the account number you are paying is updated to your replacement credit card account number wherever you make Bill Payments today.
How will getting a new card affect my statements and payment due date?
Your payment due date and the date you receive your statement will change with your new Manulife Bank credit card:
- Please be sure to make at least the minimum payment on your current statement by the payment due date.
- Once your new replacement credit card is activated, any existing account balance will be transferred to your new account. Going forward you will need to make your payments on the new due date as specified on your new statement.
What if I have authorized users on my account?
Your current authorized users will also receive a new card with a unique card number. Authorized users will not be able to use their cards until after the primary account user has activated their new Manulife Bank credit card.
Why do I have to create a Manulife ID?
A Manulife ID is required to access online banking and the Manulife Bank mobile app.
What happens to the cash back I have accumulated on my existing card? Will my rewards move to my new card?
When you activate your replacement card, any rewards balance that has not yet been automatically redeemed will be automatically transferred to your new card and will be shown as points on your statement. You can redeem rewards at any time by logging in to your account. For example: If you have a balance of $10 in cash back, upon activating your new card the $10 will transfer over to your new account and appear as 1,000 points on your next statement (the equivalent of $10).
As a Manulife Bank Visa Infinite cardholder I currently have the monthly fee on my Manulife One account waived. Will I continue to have my Manulife One account fee waived?
Yes! There is no change to your monthly fee waiver. We will continue to waive your Manulife One monthly account fee every year you spend at least $20,000 on your credit card.
How will my rewards earnings change on my new Manulife Bank credit card?
We are evolving our rewards program to offer you more ways to earn across the categories that matter most. We are expanding the opportunity to earn in a broader range of everyday and lifestyle categories. That means more ways to be rewarded for how you live. You can now earn rewards on:
